As part of the international exercise Lion Effort 2024, which will take place at the Čáslav military airport from 9 to 27 May, 2024, we have prepared, in cooperation with the association Spolek přátel letiště Čáslav, z.s. Spotters Day LE24. This event will take place on Thursday, 16 May 2024, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Lion Effort 2024 is an air force exercise of countries whose armed forces use any model of the JAS-39 Gripen. After nine years, the exercise is returning to the Czech Republic to the 21st Tactical Air Force Base Čáslav. Active air participation has already been confirmed by the Kingdom of Sweden and Hungary. The Kingdom of Thailand and Brazil will participate without their equipment. The Czech Air Force will participate not only with its Gripens, but also with the L-159 ALCAs and the CASA C-295 transport aircraft. NATO units will provide the refueling aircraft A-330 MRTT. Also, F-16 Fighting Falcon from the Polish home base and Eurofighter Typhoon from Germany will take part in the exercise.
The accreditation fee for Spotters Day LE24 is CZK 500.
As part of the accreditation, you will receive a welcome pack, which consists of souvenirs with the logo of the exercise and some refreshment. Above all, you will get the opportunity to have access to the marked areas at the distance of 100 m from the RWY with the sun behind you.
The registration will take place online from 17 April to 7 May, 2024. Send the completed registration form (file below) to the email address spolek21ztl@gmail.com. Sending your registration form you agree with the General Terms and Conditions of Participation in Spotters Day Lion Effort 2024.
Subsequently, you will receive further information and payment details via email. The accreditation will be valid after the payment is received.
The number of places is limited. The security department reserves the right not to grant accreditation.
